First Grade Fun

I had the good fortune to be able to travel with a group of history teachers to Colonial Williamsburg, Virgina. We participated in the Discover America Teacher Institute.:
I brought back a variety of things soldiers, women, and Native Americans would have used during this time period. The hands on experience was enjoyable as well as educational. First graders had fun exploring and learning about the Colonial period artifacts.
