Cedar Bluffs College Tuition Program
Students can earn college credits during high school
by Joel Bohlken
Students who attend Cedar Bluffs Public School may take advantage of a unique new opportunity to earn free college credits while still in high school. Up to $600 per year of student’s college tuition is paid under the following conditions:
1) Student is enrolled in Cedar Bluffs Public School during the entire preceding semester
2) Course fits academically into the student’s Four-Year Plan
3) Student is a Senior or Junior, or by administrative permission
College credits are available in a number of ways including online courses, distance learning courses, or on-campus at various nearby colleges. Six hundred dollars would pay the tuition for six credit hours from the University of Nebraska to 15 credit hours from Metropolitan Community College. For example, some current tuition rates are:
Metropolitan Community College: $40 per credit hour
Midland Lutheran College: $285 per course
Northeast Community College: $73 per credit hour
PeruState College: $78.50 per credit hour
Southeast Community College: $45 per credit hour
University of Nebraska: $100 per credit hour
The Cedar Bluffs College Tuition Program offers Cedar Bluffs students an opportunity to get a head start on their future and provides our students with a virtually unlimited variety of challenging course options.
