Cedar Bluffs High School Hall of Fame

Nominations due by March 31st

The purpose of the Cedar Bluffs High School Hall of Fame is to recognize former Cedar Bluffs students, former faculty and staff, and others associated with Cedar Bluffs High School who have distinguished themselves in the field of athletics and/or academics, either by virtue of their performance on an athletic team, their academic achievements, or by their outstanding contributions to the Cedar Bluffs School, the community of Cedar Bluffs, or society in general. A maximum of five (5) inductees will be selected per year (a team counts as one inductee). Induction into the Hall of Fame will take place at a school function. Persons elected will be notified by the selection committee.

 

  1. Alumni – Criteria for Hall of Fame membership
    1. An extraordinary contribution by someone other than faculty, staff, or athlete (ex: drama, speech, band, quiz bowl, cheerleading, dance, or service club) on behalf of Cedar Bluffs Public School and the community.
    2. An extraordinary contribution to society by a Cedar Bluffs High School alumnus
    3. An alumnus becomes eligible for nomination to the Hall of Fame ten (10) years after graduation.

 

  1. Athletes – Criteria for Hall of Fame membership
    1. Exceptional athletic performance (in all cases the primary qualification for recognition in the Hall shall be successful involvement in one or more Cedar bluffs athletic programs.
    2. All individuals should be an outstanding character example that reflects positively on both the individual and Cedar Bluffs High School.
    3. An athlete becomes eligible for nomination to the Hall of Fame ten (10) years after graduation.

 

  1. Outstanding teams – Criteria for Hall of Fame membership
    1. Exceptional team achievements.
    2. A team becomes eligible for nomination to the Hall of Fame ten (10) years after the team achievement.

 

  1. Faculty or Staff – Criteria for Hall of Fame membership
    1. An outstanding career as a faculty or staff member must have had a direct and significant impact on students and the community.
    2. A member of the staff or faculty must have a minimum of five (5) years service to the Cedar Bluffs Public Schools.
    3. A member of the staff or faculty becomes eligible for nomination to the Hall of Fame five (5) years after leaving the employ of Cedar Bluffs Public Schools.

Nomination procedure: Anyone may submit nominations to the selection committee. Submit nominations online by completing the information below or send to the Superintendent’s Office, Box 66, Cedar Bluffs, NE 68015. Nominations shall remain anonymous as to not directly influence the selection committee. Nominations should be received by March 31st.
