"Stone Soup" Performance

The second graders have read different versions of the classic folktale Stone Soup. It was originally written in 1947 by Marcia Brown. It is the tale of three clever soldiers who trick villagers into thinking that soup can be made from a stone.
It has been rewritten as a play in our Reading book. In the play, a stranger wins the annual "Souper Bowl" contest while other contestants unwittingly contribute to his mysterious stone soup. The second graders did a very nice job performing the play.
