Welcome Back!
by Tammy Sukstorf
Welcome to a new school year! We have 10 enthusiastic second graders in our classroom, and we are looking forward to a successful and exciting school year. By following these certain rules, the students can become responsible second graders: 1. Listen carefully. 2. Follow directions. 3. Work quietly and do not disturb others who are working. 4. Respect school, other people, and personal property. 5. Be prepared for class every day.
Some ways that parents can help students be responsible at home would include the following: 1. Listen to your child read. 2. Help your child study and review their vocabulary words and spelling words. 3. Help your child practice addition and subtraction facts. 4. Discuss the papers that come home in the Monday envelope. 5. Offer plenty of opportunities for your child to work on listening skills and following directions. All of your assistance is greatly appreciated. If you have any questions or concerns please contact me at any time.
