Welcome Back 1st Graders!

I am looking forward to working with the 7 boys and 7 girls in first grade this year. I will do the best I can do to motivate and make learning meaningful and exciting! You can help your first grader have a successful year by:
1. Giving your child responsibilities at home.
2. Seeing that he or she has sufficient sleep and a good breakfast.
3. Reading to your child.
4. Reviewing new vocabulary words and listening to reading stories.
5. Showing an interest in the papers your child brings home from school.
6. Sending them to school at the proper time.
THINGS TO REMEMBER:
1. Library books on Wednesday!
2.Show and Tell- I encourage the first graders to bring things their classmates can learn something from. Please help them be prepared to talk about their Show and Tell. NO breakable items or toys. Thanks!
3.Tennis shoes everyday for P.E.!
