Lynn Bowder-----Visual Art-Psychology-Yearbook
Mrs. Lynn Bowder began teaching at Cedar Bluffs High School in the 1983-1984 school year. She previously had attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln where she majored in Art and Athletic Coaching. Mrs. Bowder is married to Dale Bowder who is an architect and the mother of two great kids, Dane and Kyleah, both of whom are now working on college degrees.
Mrs. Bowder chose teaching because she wanted to be able to mix her two favorite things—athletics and art. Mrs. Bowder teaches our Art I, II, III, and IV, Photography I and II, Graphics I and II, and Psychology classes and is our Yearbook Sponsor. She also assists Mrs. Stansberry with our school technology needs. Before taking a leave of absence for her family, Mrs. Bowder coached in our Volleyball, Basketball, Golf and Track programs.
She believes that as a teacher she needs to help her students see that the world is a “pay now and achieve more later” type of place. Her goal for her students as they leave her classroom is not only for them to have good knowledge of Art, Psychology, and Photography, but she hopes that she has helped them to learn to complete things to the best of their ability. Developing good habits and becoming good people will make them successful in their lives after high school.
