Wildcat Volleyball Preview!
High Expectations Fuel Excitement!
by J. Anstey
The start of volleyball season is upon us! After coming up short a year ago this year’s team is determined and focused. I can just about guarantee you that you will see a great performance out of them this season. Now, this team has a lot of experience. We all know that when you combine experience with talent that’s a great recipe for victory! And speaking of victory, there will be a lot of it this year. I’m probably not the only one with high expectations for this team, but I believe they have the talent, leadership, and work ethic to succeed.
I noticed this summer that it always seemed that the girls had some sort of sport they were training for. They were always in the gym or weight room. I thought to myself sometimes, “ I wonder if they sleep?”. Despite all their tireless efforts they still bring their A game every day. That’s not an easy thing to do. It takes a lot from the players, but we should not overlook the two coaches that push these ladies to succeed. Coach Stansberry and Coach Bohling put the extra effort into the summer and preseason practices. So whenever you see them in the hallways wish them good luck for the upcoming season. Ok, so now we all know how good this team is, so I don’t want to hear any excuses of why you weren’t at the game. Just show up and show your support because these Lady Wildcats are very strong and will be making a run at districts and maybe even more….
The volleyball team kicks off their season this Thursday at the East Butler Triangular at 6pm. make sure you head to the matches to cheer on your Lady Wildcats!

| 09/07/2010 | We went to the game and the girls looked great. They showed confidence and when they needed it they pulled together as a team and defeated! It was really great to see supporting classmates, the chearleaders with signs, some of the football players, and the parents there cheering on the lady Wildcats. I know they all appreciate every person there! |
