20 students and 11 parent/community-member chaperons will be taking part in the third installment of Pounding the Pavement in just a few days! We will continue to live up to the name of our program...our schedule, again, is a busy one! Thursday, March 20, 2014, will be our travel day. We are scheduled to depart Omaha on Thursday morning. After a short layover in Chicago, we are scheduled to arrive in Boston in the early afternoon. Students in grades 3-5 were given a MAP assessment to check their progress in the areas of Math, Reading, Language Arts, and Science. These tests are given in the fall, winter, and spring. After the winter assessments, students were awarded medals for meeting benchmark in each area. Students that made progress were also awarded with certificates. One student was also awarded a "Most Improved" medal for having the highest improvement scores on these winter assessments. Congratulations to all of our students! read more
