Something to Consider from Mr. and Mrs. Brousek

Pounding the Pavement for Alumni and District Residents

It is hard to believe, but this upcoming summer will be our school's fifth trek to the East Coast. Most students and chaperons that have participated in our treks to Boston and Washington, DC have been very pleased.  Something that started out as a "crazy idea" discussed by Mr. Brousek and his son Cody has grown into a program that many in our school anticipate every year!

Next summer, PTP -VI, will travel to San Francisco, California for several days and explore the history of the area before taking Amtrak's California Zephyr across the Rocky Mountains back to Lincoln. This trip will be for any high school student and adults who don't mind being chaperons.

Mr. Ptomey has given us permission to organize a trip to Washington, DC for any alumni or resident of the district that would enjoy the experience of exploring Washington, DC for a little over two days. In order to participate, a person would need to be at least 21 years old and be able to walk throughout the city.

We believe this would be a wonderful experience for those that choose to participate. The tour guides we hire are so knowledgeable and there is so much to see in our nation's capital city. Our feet might get a little sore, but there is so much to see in such a limited time.

We could fly to and back, or we could do what most students enjoy...flying out and taking the train back. If this is something that you believe you might enjoy please leave a comment. If there is enough interest, we could hold an information meeting over the summer months.
