Local Americanism Essays Advance to State Competition
Cedar Bluffs Auxiliary Unit selects three essays

    The annual American Legion Auxiliary Americanism Essay contest was held this spring across the state of Nebraska.  The theme for the 2009 contest was "Soldiers, Past and Present...America, Honor Your Veterans."

    Student entries were judged by the local auxiliary.  The winning essays were submitted to the state office for further competition.

Cedar Bluffs Public School is proud to have three students' efforts recognized.  Essays written by B. Dunker, C. Mackey and J. Gasper have advanced to state competition!

    The Cedar Bluffs Legion Auxiliary as well as the administration and staff at CBPS would like to thank all of this year's participants and wish good luck to the three contestants as they advance in state competition.
