The past few weeks have given us the opportunity to celebrate! We started off the month of February by discussing Black History. Each student chose someone that they would like to find out more about. Their assignment was to write a short report explaining the contribution that this individual made to society. February was a very busy month in the Cedar Bluffs Kindergarten classroom. We celebrated the 100th Day of School, Groundhog’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Chinese New Year, George Washington’s Birthday, and it was Dental Health Month and African American History Month. We have been learning new sight words each week. I would encourage all students to practice these sight words each night. We have also been working hard on reading.
