Superintendent Press Release February 27, 2026

Dear Cedar Bluffs Families,

This is a reminder that Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held next week. We had an incredible turnout this fall and look forward to connecting with families again. These conferences are an important opportunity to celebrate student growth and strengthen the partnership between home and school. There will be no school for students Wednesday through Friday next week. Wednesday will be a staff in-service day, with Parent-Teacher Conferences held from 4:00–8:00 p.m. Conferences will continue Thursday from 8:00am until 4:00pm.

Spring is certainly in the air, and it is always an exciting season for our seniors. Many are completing college coursework and finishing their final classes before graduation. We are also proud to share that 19 of our seniors are currently participating in internships, spending at least part of their day working in a profession they hope to pursue in the future. These real-world experiences are invaluable as they prepare for life after high school.

On March 20, Cedar Bluffs will host our annual College and Career Fair. We currently have 28 colleges, military representatives, and career recruiters scheduled to host booths in our main gym. Students from North Bend, Arlington, and Logan View, along with all Cedar Bluffs high school students, will have the opportunity to visit with representatives and explore postsecondary pathways. It is an exciting time of year at Cedar Bluffs, and we appreciate your continued support of our students and school community.

Lastly, Cedar Bluffs Public School would like to share that Mr. Tom Brinkman has accepted a position with Raymond Central for the upcoming school year. While we are excited for this next chapter in his professional journey, we are sincerely grateful for his service to our students and school community. He will be greatly missed at Cedar Bluffs.

Mr. Brinkman will continue serving in his current role through the conclusion of his contract on June 30. During this time, we will work together to ensure a smooth and thoughtful transition for our students, staff, and families.

During his time with us, Tom invested countless hours into our activities programs and the students they serve. His steady presence at events, willingness to step in wherever needed, and commitment to creating positive experiences for kids made a meaningful difference in our school community. We deeply appreciate the energy, leadership, and care he brought to this role and thank him for his dedication to Cedar Bluffs.

We will share additional updates as staffing decisions are finalized. Thank you for your continued support of Cedar Bluffs Public School.

Have a great weekend! - Wildcat Pride
