November 24, 2021
Dear Parents, Patrons and Students,
It is with great sadness that we inform you of the unexpected loss of Bobby Pittack, a freshman at Cedar Bluffs High School. This loss is sure to raise many emotions, concerns, and questions for our entire school, especially our students. The school will be open today November 24th from 3-5pm and Friday November 26th from 9-11am for staff, students and parents who need a place to grieve.
If the dates and times do not work in your schedule, please do not hesitate to Tommy Gerrish at tommy.gerrish@cbwildcats.org or Samantha Fitzgerald at samantha.fitzgerald@cbwildcats.org
We are saddened by the loss to our school community and will make every effort to help you and your child as you need. The crisis team is also meeting to talk about next steps in the coming days to provide comfort to our community, families, and students. We will release more information about the services when those details are made available.
Sincerely,
Mr. Ptomey, Superintendent of Schools
Cedar Bluffs Public School

Wrestling fans, parents, and families. Please see the Cedar Bluffs Group Ticket order forms for State Wrestling below. The school will make the group buy purchase, so all orders are due to the school with money on Monday, November 29th. Separate tickets outside of our team area can be purchased later at a first come first serve basis, however this is an opportunity for Cedar Bluffs people to sit in the same area at the State tournament. Forms have been sent home with our wrestlers and they can also be printed and filled out. You can turn forms into Mr. Amen or to the HS office on November 29th. A state schedule is also provided. We are class D for the boys and the girls will wrestle in one classification. Please fill out the form in its entirety and place it in a sealed envelope with the full payment. Thank you and go Wildcats!

We have both of our Giving Tree's set up at the school! This year we have a total of 16 families with 49 students. This means that we have over 200 gifts to buy. Feel free to stop by the school and grab an ornament or two. We will also take donations of any size!
Donations and gifts are due December 13th. If you have any questions, please contact Tina Headid in the High School office.
Thank you!

Thanks!

Pounding the Pavement is back and we need your help!
After a two year hiatus because of Covid, we will once again be offering educational trips for our high school students. With so many large cities requiring vaccination cards to enter any type of building, our trip this summer will be to a less urban area of our nation - Alaska!
You can help our students visit the "The Last Frontier" State by spending no extra money and with just a little bit of effort this Thanksgiving and Holiday Season.
If you shop at Bakers, you can simply use your Bakers Plus card. You will need to go to Bakers' website (www.bakersplus.com) and follow five simple steps. First, sign into your account. If you do not have an account you can set up an account. Second, at the bottom of the page click on "COMMUNITY" and then click on "Kroger Community Rewards". Third, click on "Search for your Organization Here". Fourth, search "Cedar Bluffs Education Foundation" or type "NK905". Finally, click "enroll" and you are finished. Bakers will begin sending our school a portion of the money you spend at their stores. It is that easy!
If you shop at Hy-Vee you can support us, too! Instead of writing a check, using your credit/debit card, or paying in cash, we ask that you stop by the high school office and pick up Hy-Vee gift cards. We have cards in $20 and $100 increments. Hy-Vee sells us the cards at a discounted rate. If you use Hy-Vee gift cards you are helping our students without spending an extra penny!
Your willingness to help our students is greatly appreciated!
