Ron Ruhs from the Greater Omaha Area Trailrunnerz association attended the Blair Invitational last Thursday to support the Wildcat Cross Country team.
This year marked the second year that the GOATz have offered $2500 to one high school and one junior high school cross country program. Teams from a seven-county area around the greater Omaha area were encouraged to submit applications and were asked various questions regarding their needs and just as importantly how they fostered community and team in their program and community.
Cedar Bluffs won the 2021 high school grant. Their financial support has gone a long way in all the start up costs associated with getting a program off the ground.
A couple of things that really caught the eye of the GOATz board members was our school's requirement of 40 hours of community service before graduation as well as our program's goal to get family and community support to begin hosting road races in the Cedar Bluffs area.
The administration, athletic department and cross country participants and families would like to thank the GOATz for their support of our new program!

JH Volleyball parents, Yutan just informed us that today’s JHVB games will be played at Yutan Elementary. Thank you.

On Saturday morning, the Cedar Bluffs Cross Country team travelled to Lincoln to watch the Woody Greeno Invite at Mahoney Park.
For all of our runners it was the first time ever attending a collegiate race! 25 teams participated in this year's annual invitational. Colleges and universities from across Nebraska, Colorado, South Dakota, Iowa, Kansas, and Missouri ran in the 5K and 8K races.
Following the two races Coaches Doug Marshall and Marc Bierbaum visited with the Wildcat harriers about the importance of living a healthy lifestyle, training, and being active in extra-curricular activities.
Learn to Run. Love to Run. Live to Run.

Homecoming 2021 is in the books and what a fun week/weekend it was. School spirit was in full force from teachers and students. Mr. Greene wants to thank all the students that came to the homecoming festivities tonight. The food trucks said they would come back in a heartbeat because we have such polite students and they had a blast. Thank you to Ty Brouillette for being our DJ and to the teachers who helped with the event. Mr. Greene appreciates all of your help! #wildcatpride
